FG TO PARTNER WITH SMK FLOUR MILLS ON FOOD SECURITY
In line with strategies of mitigating climate change and boosting agricultural productivity, the Minister of Industry, trade and investment, Mrs Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite said it is a thing of pride to see Nigerian firms like SMK Flour mills producing flour and other food commodities in the country.

The Minister stated this during a working visit to SMK Flour Mills, Idu, Abuja.
Mrs Doris acknowledged the firm’s efficient production as it provides food and employment opportunities to thousands in the country.
She promised that the Federal government would partner with the company towards ensuring food sufficiency and boosting economic growth.
Responding, Chairman SMK Group, Alhaji Shitu Mohammed Kabir MON, OFR appreciated the visit, saying SMK Flour Mill has been a pioneer in Abuja, committed to providing high-quality products and contributing to Nigeria’s food security.

“The company’s current capacity stands at 120 metric tons per day, employing 50 people directly and supporting 1000 indirect jobs.”
The Chairman assures of more expansion plans to meet growing demand by 600 tons per day and, in turn, boosts local economic growth.
