BORNO FLOOD: BOSEPA MOPS UP DIRT IN THE STATE

Borno State Ministry of Environment, through the State Environmental Protection Agency has organised its monthly sanitation exercise for the month of November yesterday.

The sanitation exercise was conducted across the state between 07:00AM to 10:00AM with restriction on all activities except essential services.

The General Manager Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA), Abubakar Suleiman took the lead by personally inspecting various areas such as Maiduguri Monday Market, Hausari ward, Shehuri, Gamboru Abbattoir, London ciki post office area,Lagos Street, Polo road among others to ensure cleanliness of the state as a whole.

Mr Sulaiman emphasised the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the well being of all.

Permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment Juliana Bitrus expressed gratitude to all individuals who participated in the exercise and called on the public to always keep their environment clean.

Chairman Borno State Traffic Management Agency (BOTMA), Engr. Baba Shehu Tijjani among other stakeholders encouraged community members to take charge in controlling improper refusal disposal and open defecation.
